What Rubbish and Junk Can We Take Away?
The Rubbish Wrestlers collect a wide range of everyday household and light commercial rubbish from homes, units, sheds, garages, small businesses and local properties across Melbourne’s Outer East.
From furniture, white goods and tools to clothing, toys, books, kitchenware, computers, timber, metal and general hard rubbish, we can take away many of the unwanted items that are cluttering your space.
What we can accept depends on the type, weight and condition of the items, along with the rules of the recycling and disposal facilities we use. If you are unsure about something, send us a clear photo and we will let you know whether it is suitable for our service.

Some Items May Have Additional Disposal Fees
Most everyday rubbish and junk is covered in your quoted price, but certain items can cost more to dispose of because recycling centres and transfer stations charge us extra fees for them.
These additional charges may apply to items such as mattresses, tyres, gas bottles, fridges, freezers, televisions, large appliances and other products that require special handling or separate disposal.
We will always let you know about any additional fees before the job is booked. As long as the items are accurately described and clearly shown in your photos, there will be no surprise charges on collection day.

Our Lifting and Handling Limits
The size of the clean-up is not always the issue. What matters most is whether the individual items can be handled safely by one person.
As a general guide, we are best suited to items weighing around 15 kg or less. If your job involves heavy furniture, large appliances, machinery, or other items that require two people to lift, we may not be the right fit for that job.
However, some larger items can still be managed if they can be safely dismantled or broken down into lighter pieces. For example, we may be able to take apart long furniture, remove sections, or break down suitable items so each piece is easier to lift and load.
Send us clear photos of the items and access before booking. We will be honest about what we can safely manage and let you know if your job is suitable for our service.

Common Questions People Ask Us?
Do you take heavy building rubble?
Are there any hidden fees?
We accept small quantities within a load. We do not remove large quantities of soil, bricks, concrete, sand, pebbles, pavers, roof tiles. etc. We focus strictly on light residential, office, factory and retail cleanups.
No, we are up front about items for which we are charged additional fees at tipping facilities. Different tipping facilities charge different prices for these items, all of which are listed above. We include them within the quoted price, but if an item hasn't been brought to our attention when quoting, there will be an additional fee.
What happens to the rubbish?
How quickly can you provide a quote for my job?
We recycle what we can at transfer stations. However, charity organisations are extremely fussy about what they accept. It isn't possible for the whole load to be recycled. Whatever's left goes to the landfill.
We offer fast quotes if you send us photos of the junk to be disposed of. Access to the junk and your address so we can assess the property's access. These factors are important when quoting a job.
If we need to come out to quote your job, it is usually within 24 hours, sometimes a little longer if we are busy.
Why are you picky about the jobs you take on?
How Long Until you do the job after quoting it?
We are a husband-and-wife team. We aren't 2 beefy young guys ready to take on the world. We know our limitations and take on the work we can do between ourselves safely.
If we come out in person to provide a quote, normally we are able to complete the job the same day. Larger jobs may take a little longer.
